Sep 2009 - Today: Digital Media Solution Center Solution Lead Developer
As a solution lead developer in the Media Solution Lab, I design and implement innovative solutions, by building Proof Of Concepts and being involved in client projects, leveraging IBM middleware and partners offerings:
- Design and Implementation of a Multi Content Store to allow browsing of several catalogs (video on demand, phones, applications) from different channels (desktop, mobile, tv) using a single middleware and a rendering engine adapting the display to the device.
- Implementation of a Mobile Framework splitting a mobile application in two parts: the business logic running in a private IBM Cloud, and the application rendering on the phone, in an agnostic device way.
My mission is also focused on several activities:
- Technological watch mainly on WEB 2.0, HTML5, Rich Internet Application (RIA) and Rich Desktop Application (RDA) in order to build prototypes in line with state-of-the-art technologies and latest best practices. This allows me to maintain a high skill level on cutting edge technologies.
- Present in depth and demonstrate the solutions to clients during customers' pre-sales workshops, for Telco and Digital Media industries, in our Digital Media Solution Center.
Outcomes: Advanced skills in RIA / RDA applications development, in graphical user interaction design, in mobile application development, and business experience in Telecommunication industry.

Jan 2008 - Sep 2009: Oracle Retail IT Architect
As a Solution Architect in the IBM Industry Solution Center, I have led the Oracle Retail initiatives from technical partnership linkage to client facing technical pre-sales. My mission consisted in:
- Leading several Solution Designing workshops with Oracle Retail specialists to define, design and implement a joint IBM / Oracle Retail landscape, to be implemented by our joint clients, leveraging IBM middleware and IBM SOA Retail Offering.
- Presenting those new solutions to the IBM Retail clients and articulating the technical value proposition.
Outcomes: Experience in Solution Design and skill increase in customer facing presentations and demonstrations.

Oct 2004 - Sep 2009: Retail Solutions IT Specialist
Based on my successful internship, IBM decided to hire me. Therefore as an IT Specialist, I was:
- Designing, implementing, demonstrating and maintaining Retail Solutions leveraging IBM Solutions, Software, Middleware and Partners ecosystem in the IBM European Business Solution Center at La Gaude.
- Integrating new solutions, innovative technologies and devices targeted to the Retail Industry by matching IBM SOA Retail Architecture. As a consequence, I became the technical focal point of European or Worldwide partners (Extenda, UPM, Pricer, Symbol-Motorola).
- Demonstrating IBM Retail Business Solutions to retailers, journalists and internal staff during in-premises workshops and European exhibitions.
I was also involved in several delivery projects such as one for "Echangeur" in May 2006 and the "Total Store Roadshow" in October 2007.
In 2007, I was the administrative coordinator between IBM and SII of 5 contractors.
Outcomes: Deep knowledge and skills in integration based on IBM software and middleware (particularly Retail Industry Framework and Service Oriented Architecture). Understanding in Retail imperatives. Skill development in customer meetings, demonstrations and sales cycle.

Feb - Sep 2004: Retail Industry
Internship in the IBM EBSC. Worked on the new IBM Solution for Retail called "Next-Generation Store", live integration of cutting edge technologies and hi-tech hardware.
Outcomes: Initial experience in teamwork and project management and in Java web applications development.

Jun - Aug 2003: Extreme Blue Life Sciences Industry
Internship in the IBM Extreme Blue international program, at La Gaude. This program is a unique experience to work in a mixed technical and business team on a real final product from design to delivery.
Creation of a data federator pilot in the Life Sciences area, based on JAVA and DB2. Implementation of a Blast algorithm in order to find patterns in flat files, to convert these files in Relational Databases. Design of an intuitive GUI.
It was the initial step of the Software as a Service concept, in line with the IBM On Demand program.
Project presented in Germany, to IBM worldwide executive staff.
Outcomes: Gained experience in collaboration between technical and business members in a four students team and in Java GUI and application development.
